Oh my freaking gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok... I just have to tell you guys that this has been the third best day of my life!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to see Jason Dohring at the BMW Charity Pro-Am Golf Tournament today and I just have to tell you about it..... It's the greatest!!!!!!! *insert fangirl squee here*
Let me just start off by saying that Jason Dohring is a class act all the way. He deserves every great thing that happens to him and I wish him nothing but the best of luck. He is incredibly gracious and appreciative. It's nice to know that there is an actor in Hollywood like him. It truly restores my faith in humanity.
And let me also say that my husband deserves so much more than just a 'husband of the year' award. He is truly the most awesome man I have ever met and I am reminded every day how much I love him.
Disclaimer: Being with JD resorted me to a fifteen year old giggling, blushing schoolgirl in a thirty-three year olds body. I am normally calm, collected and in charge of all my faculties.
Now... on with the fangirl squees!!
We got the tournament about 8:00am and JD was supposed to tee off at 9:00am so I figured he would probably be at either the practice range or the practice putting green around 8:30. So we went to the clubhouse and at breakfast.
On the way back from breakfast I spotted him standing next to a golf cart from about 100 yards away. I just knew it was him even though he was facing the other direction because of the way he was standing. I told my husband (who's name is Jason, also) "Look, Look... there he is! I know it's him, I know it is." Sure enough it was him. He was talking to someone so we waited to see where he would go. He got in a cart and went to the practice range and we followed and I got in position for some great photos (which I will post Monday or Tuesday when I get back)!
He then went up to the practice putting green and we of course followed, where again I got some great photos... probably the best in the bunch except those of he and I (coming soon)! He teed off at 9:00am with two pro-players and one other amateur player (not a celeb). We started following him around the course... his security dude keeping a close eye on us. I guess he just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to run up and tackle Jason or something, LOL! Imagine my surprise when I realized that we were the only fans following Jason!!! (Catherine Bell was in the group behind him and she had a pretty large group following her).
At hole #2 (I think), Jason turned and smiled at me and then whispered something to his security guy (who's name is Tim) and then Tim came over to ask us if we had any sunblock he could borrow. Unfortunately we didn't ( I didn't think I would need any) but I asked Tim if he wanted me to see if I could find any and he said "That would be great." So off I went in search of sunblock. I borrowed some off one of the older ladies following Catherine Bell who was one hole behind us. I then ran it back (it's a pretty good ways) to Tim who then gave it to Jason. After he used it, I returned it to the lady and took a picture, LOL!!! I wish it would have been mine so I could have kept it.
Well needless to say, Jason was very appreciative and from then on it was a fangirl dream come true!! He waved at me and then walked with me from hole 3 to hole 4. He told me how nice it was that I did that and I was like "It's really not a big deal." ( You know, because for him it's not but I probably would have done it for anyone.) After hole three, Tim asked me if I would like an autograph or my pic taken with Jason and I was like... "Heck, yes!!!!!" So my husband took Jason and I's picture!!!!!!!! At this point I'm on cloud nine!!!!
After that he talked to me and my Jason a lot; between hits, between holes, anytime we had to walk for a while. We talked about normal stuff like where I lived and what kind of sports I liked, where I went to college, if we played golf, etc. He was sooooooooo nice!!! I can't even begin to tell you how nice he was. I think I was blushing the whole time I talked to him!!!! He talked a lot to my husband, too, which was awesome.
His security guard was so nice, too. He would ask us all the time if we wanted water or anything and would bring us bottles of water from the players coolers. He talked to us a lot, too, especially my Jason. Even the other amateur's caddy let me drive the cart some when I wasn't walking and talking to Jason!!
After all eighteen holes we went back to the clubhouse for lunch where I thanked him for letting us follow him around all day. He told me that he appreciated us coming and that he was flattered that we came all that way just for him (as if!) He shook my hand again and told me and my Jason that it was nice meeting us and he hoped to see us again. *squeeeeeeeeeeeee*
So eight hours of looking at and talking to Jason Dohring, needless to say, has made my whole entire year, plus some!! Oh and did I mention that this was one of the greatest days of my life, LOL!!!!! I don't think I'll come down from this high for days!!!
Anyways, just wanted to share with you guys. You are the only ones who truly understand how awesome this is!!!!! That's why I love you so much!!!
I promise I will post pictures very soon. I have to upload all them to photobucket and stuff.
*smiling ear to ear*
